Cynister GWPs was founded by Don and Cathie Magoon in 1999 in Norco, CA.  Cathie, along with their children, compete with their GWPs at dogs shows.

Cynister GWPs consistently win on the tough Southern California dog show circuit, regularly winning Best of Breed. Cynister GWPs have had numerous specialty wins. 

Don Magoon enjoys field trials, and has become a regular at California field trials, working with professional trainer Randy Berry to train, condition, and compete with Cynister GWPs.

Don and Cathie got their foundation dogs from Jay-Mar Kennels, and have been line-breeding their best dogs, while regularly breeding to other top dogs to improve their breeding program.

Cynister GWPs have excellent conformation, solid temperaments and strong field ability.  All GWPs included in the Cynister breeding program have been X-rayed and certified by OFA to be clear of Hip Dysplasia.
